Saona Island is part of Cotubanamá National Park, formerly known as the East National Park.

We pick you up around 6.30 am in Bávaro and head to Bayahibe, where we take speedboats  and sail for about 50 minutes to the most remote and beautiful part of the island, Canto de la Playa.

We visit one of the human settlements on the island, Mano Juan village, where if in spawning season, we will also see baby turtles; Canto de la Playa, a wonderful beach, where you can snorkel and walk along the unspoilt beach; the mangroves, home to an important marine life; and the natural pool where we can observe starfish in their natural state, in the sea, 1 meter deep.

These tour has two versions:

-Speedboat roundtrip, more familiar and in smaller (but not small) groups: $65 for adults, children ages 4 to 11 have a 50% discount and children under 4 are free of charge. Food (grilled meat, rice, salad, potatoes, fruits, etc.) and drinks are included. For an additional $15, 1 whole lobster of about 1 pound is included in your meal. We highly recommend you this option.

– Return by catamaran from the island and enjoy a party and dance aboard, in bigger groups:  $65 for adults, children ages 4 to 11 have a 50% discount and children under 4 are free of charge. Food and drinks are included. For an additional $15, 1 whole lobster of about 1 pound is included in your meal.

Starting from Bayahibe this tour costs $10 less for adults, with children at half price.

We are back at the hotel at 7-8 pm.

IMPORTANT NOTE: this tour is not recommended for pregnant women, children under 3 years of age, nor people who suffer from back, waist, neck, heart or seasickness.
